We are looking for someone enthusiastic about working with young people accessing our CAMHS (Core) Mental Health service. You will bring a positive approach to care, creatively and flexibly partnering with children, families, and professional networks. Your role will deliver excellent quality care, empowering children and young people in their recovery journey and contributing to service development. As a support worker, you will work within our outpatient clinic and also provide support in home, education, or community settings. You will have access to individual and group clinical supervision, CPD opportunities, and a supportive multidisciplinary team. You will support the team to ensure smooth running of the service, contributing to research, evaluation, and service development. Responsibilities Provide care and support to children and young people experiencing a range of emotional difficulties. Empower children and young people to support them in their recovery journey. Work in partnership with parents/carers to implement interventions, strategies and activities that promote health and emotional wellbeing. Use knowledge and evidence-based practice to deliver advice and support to children, young people, parents and carers. Work flexibly across localities, offering clinic-based work and community work. Advocate for children and young people to access the service and wider support. Adapt interventions and approaches to meet the emotional needs of children and young people, embedding recovery models of mental health. Undertake school and home observations as required. Adhere to the Trust and Local Authority safeguarding requirements, promoting the safety and welfare of children and young people. Work closely with external partners and attend multi-agency and network meetings as required. Requirements & Working Conditions Hold a full UK driving licence and have access to a personal vehicle (public transport is not acceptable). Travel independently around the county, meeting strict time deadlines. Work full time; part-time hours may also be considered. Previous experience supporting young people with emotional, behavioural or mental health difficulties is desirable. Strong commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion.
