We have a global team with a singular mission, to make our client's projects happen.

Claxton are looking to hire a Logistics Co-Ordinator on a full time, permanent basis. Based at their facility in Westhill, Aberdeen, the Logistics Co-Ordinator will support the business with all aspects of shipping and logistics, ensuring all customs clearance is in line with Claxton Engineering compliance procedures. They will be responsible for the timely, cost-effective shipping of all equipment whilst adhering to standard operating procedures and policies and applicable law.

Duties & Responsibilities
  1. Creation of UK despatch & collection notes for movement of equipment.
  2. Creation of import commercial invoice & clearance instructions.
  3. Creation of Export commercial invoices, despatch notes, cargo summary tickets.
  4. Liaise with freight forwarders to ensure efficient shipping of subsea equipment to worldwide destinations.
  5. Obtain export and import entries from freight agents to complete logistical files required to satisfy audit requirements.
  6. Provide logistical knowledge to all parties on site and identify means of shipping equipment.
  7. Liaise with all Warehouse and Logistics colleagues to ensure the efficient and accurate control of imports and exports, confirming full compliance with company and legislative requirements.
  8. Liaise with colleagues globally in relation to shipments and document control in international locations.
  9. Communicate with the Supply Chain Manager when required to ensure operations are in line with requirements and are compliant.
  10. Hyperlink and manage all goods in and goods out documents in order to comply with standardised record keeping.
  11. Check and validate all freight and packing invoices for import/export items.
  12. Provide imports/export support to other Claxton Engineering sites as required.
  13. Obtain quotes from freight providers.
  14. Creation of Purchase Orders to facilitate freight invoices.
Requirements
  1. Must have proven exports/imports track record within international logistics.
  2. Knowledge of Export Licence control.
  3. Knowledge of all customs import regimes i.e., IPR / Customs warehouse / RGR / Duty Paid.
  4. Understanding of shipping practices and handling methods.
  5. Understanding of customs procedure codes.
  6. Knowledge within Classification of goods and incoterms.
  7. Minimum 5 years' experience in Logistics Co-Ordinator or similar role.
  8. Experience within busy environment with fluctuating activity levels.
  9. Proficient I.T. skills including Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  10. Able to prioritise work in a fast-paced, changing environment.
  11. Advanced Organisation skills.
  12. Attention to detail.
  13. Accurate record keeping.
  14. Excellent interpersonal skills.
  15. Excellent housekeeping skills.
  16. An ability to work in a logical and methodical way.
  17. Works on own initiative.
  18. High level of integrity and professionalism.
  19. Proactive and positive approach to work.
