OverviewPay up to £40,211 per annum – depending on experience. Full time, permanent role as a Primary Care Nurse in the Primary Care team at HMP Millsike, a category C prison located in Full Sutton, East Yorkshire. HMP Millsike is a newly built prison with an operational capacity of 1500 places. This is a rare opportunity to be part of a new healthcare team from the inception of a brand new prison site.You will work with a multi-disciplinary team to support you and help you succeed. HoursWeekdays: 07:00 – 19:15; Weekends: 08:15 – 18:00. Rolling 5-week shift pattern, working 1 weekend in 5. SalaryFull-time position, annual salary up to £40,211 per annum depending on experience. Support and developmentBespoke induction, including the Introducing Health in Justice training course; competency framework; regional and national career development opportunities; bespoke Learning Management System to address learning needs; support from the wider team. What you’ll be doingAs a Primary Care Nurse your responsibilities will vary. You will:Work within a multi-disciplinary team to deliver a nurse-led service and prevent hospital admissions.Undertake medication rounds, dispense controlled medication, attend emergency response situations, assess patients, and undertake reception screening.Deliver nurse-led clinics to your patient group with support from a multi-disciplinary team.Provide outstanding evidence-based care, seek out and act on feedback to ensure care is personalised and focused on what matters to patients.
