Job SummaryWe are looking to recruit a full‑time salaried GP post (part‑time would be considered) due to our expanding list size (currently around 8,000 patients).We are an EMIS based dispensing practice with an emphasis on high quality patient‑centred care. Our main site is in Madeley (CW3 9NQ) with our Branch site at Baldwins Gate (ST5 5DA) and we are part of Newcastle South PCN.We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual who shares our values and has the necessary skills to manage the demands of modern general practice.The contract would be based on the BMA model contract with an anticipated salary of £11,500 per session, depending on experience. Indemnity fees paid by the practice.Main Duties of the JobThe post holder will be expected to undertake all the normal duties and responsibilities associated with a GP working within primary care, as set by Royal College of General Practitioners, General Medical Council, all other Royal Colleges and Councils applicable to the staff within the Practice, Department of Health, ICB, CQC, and all other regulatory and standard setting organisations.Job ResponsibilitiesThe delivery of effective medical care to the entitled populationThe provision of services commensurate with the primary care contractGeneric prescribing adhering to local and national guidanceEffective management of long‑term conditionsProcessing of administration in a timely manner, including referrals, repeat prescription requests and other administrative tasksOn a rotational basis, undertake duty doctor rolesTo be able to work and travel between both of our sites and visit patients out in the communityMaintain accurate clinical records in conjunction with good practice, policy and guidanceWork collaboratively, accepting an equal share of the full practice workloadAdhere to best practice recommended through clinical guidelinesContribute to the successful implementation of continuous improvement and quality initiatives within the practiceAccept delegated responsibility for a specific area (or areas) of the QOF, IIF, LES, DES and any other contracted area when neededAttend and contribute effectively to practice meetings as requiredContribute effectively to the development and maintenance of the practice including clinical governance and trainingEnsure compliance with the appraisal processPrepare and complete the revalidation processSupport the practice by taking on additional supportive duties and roles, e.g., non‑clinical and clinical staff development, lead roles within the practice for staff support and personal developmentAbout UsWe stand as four full‑time GP Partners, we are a training practice working with GP Registrars and Medical Students.We have a mixed skill set and develop staffing and service provision in relation to need.
