Housing Health and Safety Advisor Lewisham Council invites applications for a Housing Health and Safety Advisor in the Housing Directorate. The role delivers expert advice to enhance compliance, develop best practice and foster a safety‑first culture across the council’s social housing portfolio. Responsibilities Provide expert advice and support to ensure compliance with health and safety legislation. Develop and implement policies, strategies, and practices for statutory compliance. Collaborate with teams to conduct risk assessments and recommend effective actions. Promote learning and training opportunities to embed a safety‑first culture. Represent the Housing Health and Safety team at quarterly meetings and through stakeholder reports. Qualifications Proven experience in a health and safety advisory role, ideally in social housing or local government. NEBOSH National Diploma or equivalent. Technical or graduate membership of the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH). Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage with diverse stakeholders.
