Clinical Psychologist / Psychological Therapist An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic and committed Clinical/Counselling Psychologist or Psychological Therapist to join the Northumberland and North Tyneside At Risk Mental State Service (ARMS) on a fixed‑term maternity cover contract. The ARMS service is a small, multi‑disciplinary team offering interventions to try to prevent the onset of psychosis. It welcomes applications from enthusiastic individuals with a keen interest in working with young people and adults aged 14‑25 who are thought to be at risk of developing psychosis. This is an exciting and developing service which is research‑active and may well expand into the prevention of other mental health problems. The team is an independent service but works closely with local Early Intervention in Psychosis services. Responsibilities Provide specialist psychological assessment to service users. Deliver individual and group interventions, in collaboration with colleagues. Support the wider team with assessment, formulation and care planning. Offer supervision and consultation. Contribute to training initiatives and innovative service developments. Provide audit and research support and maintain links with local training providers (e.g., Newcastle University). You will also be part of a dynamic, innovative and supportive network of psychologists and psychological therapists in various pathways across the wider Trust.
