OverviewAt Alchemy we are working with an Auction House who are looking to bring on a Jewellery Valuer to their dynamic team.ResponsibilitiesProvide accurate valuations for sale, probate, and insurance purposes in line with current legislation.Stay informed on market trends, auction values, and fashion to ensure realistic and fair assessments.Catalogue consigned items, including research and condition reporting.Act as first point of contact for clients, maintaining strong relationships and providing regular updates.Act as the primary contact for clients wishing to consign jewellery for sale.Support business development by identifying leads and securing consignments.Assist in planning and presenting auctions, including setup, preview days, and online content.Provide written content for blogs, social media campaigns, and online listings to boost visibility and audience engagement.Mentor junior staff and contribute to department-wide initiatives and compliance procedures.RequirementsGemmology and diamond grading qualificationsValuation and cataloguing experienceStrong communication and client service skillsOrganised, self-motivated, and commercially awareRegistered Valuer (NAJ or JAV)Auction house or retail backgroundConfident public engagement and relationship-building skills #J-18808-Ljbffr
