Principal Mechanical Design Engineer WaterOur well-established client is searching for a Principal Mechanical Design Engineer to lead and develop a growing Water Design Team.This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in delivering projects for AMP8 and beyond.Role Responsibilities:Lead and mentor a team of junior engineers across multiple locations.Oversee the mechanical design of water and wastewater projects, including wastewater treatment, clean water treatment, industrial wastewater treatment, and biosolids treatment.Manage projects from concept to completion, ensuring compliance with client and industry standards.Develop preliminary and detailed design calculations, reports, drawings, and specifications.Work on balance of plant design and energy-saving initiatives.Participate in HAZID, HAZOP, and LOPA studies.Key Requirements:Degree (Hons) in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.7+ years’ design experience in the Water Industry.Working toward or Chartered Engineer status with a recognized institution.Strong knowledge of mechanical design principles and industry standards.Proficiency in Microsoft Office and engineering software.Excellent communication and leadership skills.Full clean driving license and own transport.Fluent in written and spoken English.What’s on Offer:Competitive salary & bonus scheme.Annual salary reviews & structured career progression plans.Pathway to Chartership & CPD support.Hybrid & flexible working options.Life Assurance & Employee Assistance Programme.Paid Paternity & Maternity Leave.Pension scheme with employer contributions.Opportunities to work on sustainable, high-impact projects.Staff wellness programmes & social events.If you are a highly motivated mechanical engineer looking for a leadership role in an expanding water engineering team, we want to hear from you #J-18808-Ljbffr
