The Role – Learning Support Assistant

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will provide tailored 1:1 and small group support to pupils with additional needs, including ASD, ADHD, and complex learning profiles. Working closely with the class teacher and the SEN team, you will help pupils access the curriculum, build self-esteem, and develop social and emotional skills.

You will play a key role in promoting inclusion, tracking progress, and encouraging positive learning behaviours through personalised strategies and consistent support.

The Ideal Learning Support Assistant Will Be:

* Patient, empathetic, and enthusiastic

* Experienced in supporting children with SEND, particularly ASD, ADHD, and complex needs

* Skilled in using positive behaviour management and differentiated learning approaches

* Confident working collaboratively with teachers and external professionals

* Passionate about helping every pupil reach their potential
