Job Title Laundry Engineer White Goods role at Center Hotels Location York & Hull — Hull, Selby, Goole, Thirsk, etc Cheshire, Liverpool, West Manchester Doncaster, Gainsborough, Lincoln West Sussex — Brighton, Worthing, Chichester, Portsmouth Central Scotland — East Glasgow, Edinburgh, Motherwell, Cumbernaul, Dunfermline Overview A worldwide manufacturer of commercial laundry equipment is seeking additional field engineers to undertake service, breakdown and fault‑finding on commercial appliances and laundry equipment. Responsibilities Provide on‑site service, breakdown, and fault‑finding for commercial laundry equipment, washers, dryers, and ironers at client premises (care homes, universities, hotels, etc.). Maintain PPM schedules and record service visits to meet company and client expectations. Use a multimeter and other testing equipment for electrical diagnosis and safe isolation. Deliver excellent customer service while on site. Qualifications Field Service Engineer experience with electro‑mechanical or gas & electrical appliances. Experience with laundry engineers or domestic appliance engineers is an advantage. Full UK driving licence. Gas ACS qualification desirable (training available after probation). Electrical competence, including dead‑testing and safe isolation. Advantageous Experience working on commercial laundry brands such as Miele, Electrolux, Girbau, JLA. Experience with domestic appliances: Beko, Whirlpool, Haier, Bosch, Fisher Paykel, Hotpoint, Smeg, etc. Role Based from home, you will undertake service, breakdown & fault‑finding on a wide range of commercial laundry equipment as well as washers, dryers and ironers. Hours & Remuneration Monday to Friday – 42.5 hours per week. Standby rota – 1 in 4 weekends (approx £4,000–£6,000 extra annually). Paid travel – door to door. Overtime: Paid at 1.5× Mon–Sat and 2× Sundays. Company van (automatic transit, fully equipped). Uniform, tools, phone, PDA supplied. 28 days holiday + bank holidays. Private health and pension schemes. Bonus scheme based on first‑time fix. Package Summary £41–45k+ based on: Base salary £35,000–£38,000 (gas). Standby pay £50 per day (1 in 4 weekends) – approx £4,000–£6,000 extra. Bonus £2,000 monthly performance‑based (details to be discussed). Overtime paid at 1.5× Mon–Sat, 2× Sundays.
