Apprenticeship Learning Coach - Engineering Ref: 2526/071 Hours: 37 hours per week Salary: £29,046 to £30,960 per annum. Plus generous benefits, including: 45 days annual leave per year (including bank holidays and efficiency closures) Generous Occupational Pension Scheme About the role We are looking for an experienced Engineering Technician or Metal Fabricator (or equivalent workplace experience) who is passionate about learning and wants to help apprentices succeed. In this role you will support our Engineering Technician Apprentices at York College by coaching, completing formative assessments of their skills in the workplace and assisting them in completing their apprenticeship portfolios. Responsibilities Coaching and supporting apprentices to achieve their qualifications. Completing formative assessments of apprentices’ skills in the workplace. Assisting apprentices to complete their apprenticeship portfolios. Tracking and monitoring apprentices’ progress. Communicating with employers and apprentices throughout the apprenticeship programme. Qualifications & Experience Engineering professional competence or work‑place knowledge and experience as an Engineering Technician or Metal Fabricator. Experience of supporting apprentices in the engineering workplace. Excellent organisational skills. Strong communication skills. About the College York College is a large regional college serving a population across York and North Yorkshire. Every year we have approximately 4,000 school leavers, 1,000 apprentices, 2,000 adult students and 400 higher‑level students. Our programmes range from entry‑level to degree level, including vocational and professional courses.
