Technical Claims Handler We’re hiring a Technical Claims Handler to support our growing Commercial Insurance team in the UK and Ireland. As a Technical Claims Handler, you will act as a technical referral point for less experienced handlers, ensuring complex claims are managed effectively and clients receive exceptional advocacy throughout the process. Responsibilities Handle complex and technical claims across multiple commercial lines, ensuring timely and accurate resolution. Interpret policy wordings and coverage issues, especially in relation to property and business interruption claims. Act as a trusted advisor to clients, guiding them through the claims process and advocating on their behalf with insurers, loss adjusters, solicitors, and other third parties. Communicate effectively with all stakeholders to progress claims. Qualifications 5–10 years’ experience in commercial insurance claims handling, ideally within a broker, carrier, or adjusting environment. Strong technical knowledge of policy wordings and coverage interpretation. Extensive exposure to property damage and business interruption claims. Experience working with SME to large corporate clients across various sectors. Proven ability to manage complex, high‑value, or contentious claims.
