Mobile Maintenance Electrician South Wales £40,593.78 salary (including on call standby 1:4). Permanent. My client is looking for an experienced Maintenance Electrician to join the team. You will have the opportunity to work on one of their leading supermarket contracts. The role will involve maintaining and repairing a range of electrical, mechanical plant and equipment in retail outlets, undertaking regular planned store visits to complete reactive, PPMs and minor repairs as requested by the customer (including non‑electrical). Key Responsibilities Complete the Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedule within agreed timescales and ensure all necessary paperwork is completed accurately. Complete general repairs and maintenance to customer sites as designated by management (e.g. door repairs, plumbing, flooring). Deliver reactive and planned fire alarm system maintenance. Conduct emergency lighting tests and repairs. Identify non‑repairable faults in plant and machinery and promptly advise the Line Manager of findings with recommendations regarding suitable replacement. Assist with general repairs and maintenance to customer sites as designated by management and helpdesk. Qualifications & Experience NVQ Level 3/City and Guilds 236 Part 1 + 2 or equivalent in electrical installation/maintenance. City and Guilds 18th Edition – AM2/2391. Full driving licence. Experience using a PDA system. Ability to maintain and repair a wide range of electrical and mechanical equipment (e.g. commercial ovens, dishwashers, microwaves). Carried out PPM and reactive maintenance within a similar retail environment. On Offer £40,593.78 salary (including standby 1:4). Additional £1,500 competency payment added to the basic salary upon completion of electrical fault training for catering and bakery equipment. Training (provided during probation) includes two one‑week training blocks. 40‑hour week. Travel time paid after half hour each way. OT paid at 1.5× Mon‑Fri / 2× Sat‑Sun.
