The role We are currently seeking full‑time Study Skills Lecturers who will work in close collaboration with subject lecturers to develop and teach study skills within the curriculum across a range of HE programmes from Foundation to Masters’ Level as part of our BSU, UoS and OBU partnerships. This includes improving English language and numeracy, organisational and presentation skills, digital literacy and basic IT skills, reading, writing and higher‑order research skills. Due to our delivery model, we require flexibility to teach during weekdays, evenings and at weekends. Please note this role is not eligible for visa sponsorship. What You'll Be Doing Design and document bespoke courses, digital resources and workshop plans. Deliver, evaluate and refine teaching to enhance the quality of learning and student experience. Provide feedback on academic writing and other study skills. Consult with students, offering constructive advice to help them meet assessment criteria. Record details for evaluation and quality purposes and refer students to other services. Engage students with VLE and research resources. Contribute to GBS quality assurance systems and processes. About You Hold a Master’s degree in a relevant subject area (PhD desirable). Have previous UK HE lecturing experience. Have a successful track record of teaching adult learners from diverse backgrounds. Have proven experience providing individual and group study‑skills support. Will be willing to lead a specific area of literacy development. Can demonstrate high digital literacy and advanced communication skills. Desirable Expertise in digital educational resources development, course design and curriculum development. DELTA qualification. Postgraduate Certificate of Academic Practice or equivalent teaching qualification, or commitment to enrol on a teaching programme.
