Interim Systems Management Accountant – 12-Month FTC £45,000 – £50,000 Sheffield (Hybrid – 3/4 Days per Week Onsite) I’m working with a well-established organisation in Sheffield to recruit an Interim Systems Management Accountant for a 12-month fixed term contract. This role is ideal for a technically minded accountant with strong systems experience who enjoys a blend of financial reporting, systems management, and project support. Working closely with the Finance Director and the wider Systems Team, you will play a key role in maintaining, improving and supporting the finance systems that underpin day-to-day accounting and reporting. Key Responsibilities: Systems Management: Maintain the systems that support financial operations and accounting functions. Assist with the implementation and testing of system upgrades and new functionalities. Provide end-user support, resolving queries and configuring systems to address issues. Improve system controls and ensure all system changes are documented in a standardised format. System Reporting: Build and maintain key management reports within the system. Work with the Systems Team to maintain standardised management accounts and reporting packs. Other System Projects: Participate in data migration, testing and reporting tasks throughout various project phases. Ensure accurate documentation and process notes for all project activities. Support additional project tasks as required to ensure successful delivery. Management Accounts & Financial Reporting: Support the Finance Director in preparing monthly Finance Reports. Manage and post Group consolidation entries in the system when required. Assist with the preparation of schedules for statutory accounts and respond to related queries. Provide financial reporting support to the Systems Team and wider finance function. Offer cover across management accounts, taxation, treasury, sales/purchase ledger, reporting and payroll as needed. About You: Part-qualified, fully qualified, or QBE with strong systems and reporting experience. Comfortable operating in a hybrid finance/systems role. Proactive, detail-focused, and confident working across multiple projects and stakeholders. Strong communicator with the ability to support non-technical users.
