Time Appointments are working on behalf of a successful freight forwarding business in Ipswich who are seeking an Operations Manager to join their close-knit team. This role would be an ideal next step for an experienced Operations Supervisor looking to take the next step in their career. This is a hands-on operational role, where you’ll lead by example while still being actively involved in the processing of more technical import and export jobs. You’ll also support with quoting, troubleshooting operational challenges, and maintaining strong customer relationships. Key Responsibilities : Support and oversee day-to-day multimodal freight operations (import / export via air, sea & road) Act as the Deputy to the Branch Manager, stepping in when required Complete and guide others in CDS entries and customs compliance processes Prepare accurate customer quotes and provide solutions-based service Handle complex operational queries and problem-solve efficiently Maintain strong client relationships and attend meetings where needed Provide training and support within the team as required The Ideal Candidate : Currently working in a Supervisory role within freight forwarding and ready to step up Strong understanding of multimodal freight operations Confident and experienced with CDS Comfortable providing quotes and advising customers Hands-on approach with excellent problem-solving skills Able to communicate confidently with clients and colleagues Positive, team-focused attitude and desire to grow with the business What’s on offer : Genuine progression to a key leadership position within the branch Free parking Supportive environment with training offered where needed Opportunity to make a real impact within a small and collaborative team #J-18808-Ljbffr
