The role offers flexible working hours and has a supportive team culture with regular supervision on cases. North Somerset is embedding a systemic approach and is currently undergoing a number of changes focussed on reducing caseloads and improving outcomes for families. This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast‑paced and supportive team within North Somerset Council. Responsibilities Work with children, their families and other agencies to meet assessed needs and support them to achieve their potential. Include assessment, planning and interventions with Children in Need, Children Looked After and Children in need of Protection, as well as young people preparing for adulthood. Use the team’s Signs of Safety and My Plan approach to achieve positive outcomes for children. Work in partnership with disabled children and their families, and colleagues in Education, Health, the Voluntary & Community sector, wider Children’s and Lifelong Services. Minimum Requirements SWE Registration 3 year post‑qualifying experience within the UK Social Care industry Enhanced DBS/CRB (we can obtain for you) Eligibility to work in the UK Benefits of Working with North Somerset Council Free onsite parking Opportunity for role progression and training for both permanent and temporary staff within the authority.
