We’re offering a competitive rate of £27.56 per hour for a 3-month contract that promises both professional growth and rewarding experiences.What you will do:Screen and triage referrals from professionals and the public, ensuring accurate recordings and initial risk assessments.Gather information by liaising with partner agencies including police, health, and education sectors to inform decision-making.Apply local safeguarding thresholds to determine the appropriate level of intervention, such as Early Help or Child Protection.Identify and assess risks to children, considering issues such as neglect, abuse, and domestic violence.Engage in decision-making discussions with multi-agency teams to agree on swift and child-focused next steps.Maintain accurate case notes and ensure compliance with statutory guidance and local procedures.Cultivate strong relationships with partner agencies to promote effective safeguarding practices and information sharing.Skills and Qualities:Comprehensive understanding of safeguarding legislation and thresholds.Ability to analyse complex information to make sound, evidence-based decisions.Excellent communication and negotiation skills for effective multi-agency collaboration.Resilience and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.Commitment to child-centred and trauma-informed approaches.Why Middlesbrough?Nestled in the North Yorkshire region, Middlesbrough provides an exciting mix of urban and rural lifestyles.
