Your Role We are seeking a Payload Software Verification Engineer to design and execute verification on numerical testbenches for satellite payload software. You will collaborate closely with the Feature Architect, Tech Lead, and Functional Validation Test Manager to plan, develop, and execute automated test procedures using Java, ensuring robust verification of satellite payload functionalities. Your Responsibilities Analyze and interpret software requirement specifications and create test case descriptions for features to verify. Collaborate with Architects and Tech Leads to decompose complex validation tasks into manageable components and ensure efficient implementation. Develop and execute Automated Procedures (APs) using Java for satellite simulators. Prepare configuration files and link scripts to enable automated test execution and create step‑by‑step procedures for running Java‑based test scripts. Execute test scenarios on simulators and generate concise, clear test execution reports for cross‑functional teams. Investigate anomalies observed during testing and ensure traceability using internal tools. Your Profile 7–8 years of experience in payload software functional validation testing. Experience in embedded software development (Embedded C) is a good plus. Strong understanding of space systems, satellite communication protocols, and payload engineering. Familiarity with CCSDS standards (e.g., TC/TM PUS packets, TM frames, TC segments). Proven expertise in safety‑critical software testing. Proficiency in Java programming for protocol simulation and test automation. Good working knowledge of Linux OS, version control systems (Git/SVN), and tools like Doors, Jira, and Atlassian suite.
