The role We are currently seeking Lecturers to teach across a range of undergraduate levels as part of our BSc (Hons) Construction Management programme. Because of our delivery model, flexibility to teach during weekdays, evenings, and at weekends is required. What you'll be doing As a Lecturer in Construction Management at Global Banking School, you will deliver modules related to the principles and practices of construction management, including the legal, environmental and technological context of today’s construction industry. You will develop and deliver comprehensive course materials, undertake all aspects of learning, teaching and assessment of students and keep up to date with the latest developments in your field and student support practices. Responsibilities Plan, deliver and assess student work, ensuring all learning outcomes are met Develop, update and improve course materials as appropriate Use a variety of learning and teaching methods and materials Engage actively in staff development activities, peer observations, meetings and other administrative duties Stay current with developments in the field and in student support practices Work towards defined objectives for student attendance, continuation, completion, satisfaction and progression About You Hold a Master’s degree in a relevant subject area (PhD desirable) Have previous UK HE lecturing experience in the wider subject area Demonstrate extensive knowledge of relevant subject matter Have experience supervising student work and providing support and feedback Have experience of accurate reporting and ability to maintain thorough and organised student records Be able to work under pressure, plan and prioritise workload to meet tight deadlines Have excellent communication, interpersonal and team‑working skills Be able to work with diverse groups of people Desirable Hold a Postgraduate Certificate of Academic Practice or equivalent teaching qualification (or commitment to enrol on a teaching programme during the probationary period and complete within three years) or Fellowship of HEA (or international equivalent) Have experience in design/development of academic or professional education programmes or equivalent What We Offer 25 days annual leave, plus 8 public holidays 1‑day extra leave per year of service, up to a maximum of 5 days Workplace pension scheme Tuition reimbursement for career development courses Flexible benefits: Cycle to Work, Workplace Nursery, Tech scheme and more Perks@Work discounts platform, wellbeing centre and more Reward and recognition programme £500 award employee referral scheme Discretionary annual performance bonus GBS is committed to equality, diversity and inclusion and providing a workplace free from discrimination or harassment.
