Associate (Bermuda)

Associate (Bermuda) Island Paradise Recruitment is looking for an Associate to join our insolvency & restructuring team in Bermuda. You will be involved in a wide range of interesting and challenging engagements and deals, often spanning multiple jurisdictions. This is a unique opportunity to develop your skills in insolvency, restructuring and litigation support through exposure to working with lenders, investors, companies and their advisors in distressed and urgent situations. Primary Responsibilities Assisting with day‑to‑day management of engagements such as court winding up and voluntary liquidations, receiverships, forensic investigation, corporate advisory and financial and operational restructuring. Understanding market and topical issues for various restructuring propositions as well as conducting industry and business research when required. Drafting reports for the court and other stakeholders including creditors. Compiling, reviewing and analysing books and records, conducting an inventory of assets, dealing with creditor inquiries and claims. Performing cash‑flow forecasts, financial analysis and other financial investigations. Requirements At least 2+ years of insolvency/restructuring experience. Interest in pursuing a recognised accounting or insolvency qualification (ACA, ACCA, CA, CPI, etc.). Insolvency experience in a common law jurisdiction (U.K., Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Hong Kong, Singapore, etc.). Experience within a Big‑4 or Top‑10 accountancy firm or advisory firm (global or boutique). Compensation & Benefits A competitive low‑tax remuneration package commensurate with qualifications and experience, along with a relocation and work permit package.
