Associate Mechanical Design Engineer – ManchesterWe are seeking to employ an Associate Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team in our Manchester office. Our projects span the globe, from World Cup stadiums in the Middle East and landmarks in London, to luxury hotels in New York and development projects in India.We are seeking to employ a proactive and enthusiastic Associate Mechanical Design Engineer to join our expanding team in Manchester. As an experienced professional who ideally holds professional accreditation or is actively pursuing it, you will bring an extensive portfolio demonstrating your expertise and capabilities.Your responsibilities will include:Working alongside the Associate Director, managing extensive individual projects whilst supporting project coordination.Supporting the day-to-day running of projects, ensuring they are delivered to the highest technical standards.Acting as a key client interface at the project level when the Project Director cannot attend.Assisting in marketing activities, including developing a deep network of contacts within the industry and with clients.Attending evening functions and receptions regularly to reinforce our sales and marketing activities.Assisting in the development of fee proposals and presentations.Supporting your team with quality control on projects and ensuring that the company quality assurance and compliance standards are upheld.Completing project references/Presentations to be used for marketing purposes.Taking the initiative to propose ideas to improve marketing.Working with the Project Director to evaluate challenges from a project, identify and develop solutions for new projects to mitigate risks and develop opportunities in the future.Conducting performance assessments, providing constructive feedback, and identifying skill gaps and opportunities for learning & development as a line manager.Encouraging a growth culture and providing support for early career staff Learning and development.Closely monitoring the design work carried out by other team members.Providing technical training to staff.Benefits include:Enhanced annual leave entitlement of 25 days per annum, plus public holidays.Enhanced company pension contribution.Annual budget to spend on personal wellbeing activities.Access to our healthcare scheme.Access to confidential wellbeing support services via our Employee Assistance Programme.Paid volunteering days to support causes important to you.Fun company events including our annual winter party and our full company summer social.Season ticket loans.Cycle to work scheme.Options for unpaid leave and career breaks.We’d like to hear from you if you have:MSc or BSc in Environmental or Engineering discipline, with Chartered Engineer status or a strong ambition to achieve chartership through CIBSE or IMechE.Mechanical engineering experience at a senior level, particularly in commercial projects, including new builds, refurbishments, and fit-outs.Experience in laboratory, light industrial, and/or hotel developments.Understanding of sustainable building design, renewable energy and low-carbon technology.In-depth knowledge of ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 requirements.Expertise in Building Services Engineering Systems, including their performance, application, and operation, gained in a design office setting.Strong analytical skills to influence the drive for continuous improvement.Proactive, adaptable, and approachable engineer with strong client-facing and communication skills at all levels, demonstrating initiative.Hilson Moran is an equal opportunities employer and welcomes applications from all communities. #J-18808-Ljbffr
