This role is pivotal to advancing their cutting‑edge cancer diagnostics program. Key Responsibilities of the Senior Research Assistant – Molecular Biology: Drive the development of NGS technologies, including molecular biology and biochemistry modules, and their integration into a cartridge‑based workflow. Design and execute laboratory experiments, ensuring timely and efficient results. Provide detailed experimental descriptions and perform comprehensive data analysis, guiding next steps to enhance cancer detection technologies. Identify and troubleshoot technical issues with a focus on improving the accuracy and reliability of cancer diagnostics. Ensure meticulous management of documentation in compliance with company quality management systems and ISO 13485 standards. Support the resolution of technical challenges encountered during oncology‑focused experiments. To be considered for the Senior Research Assistant role, you should have the following skills and experience: A BSc or MSc in a relevant life science discipline such as Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Genetics – previous experience in oncology or cancer research would be advantageous. Proficiency in Molecular Biology and/or Biochemistry techniques including DNA/RNA extraction, PCR, qPCR, ddPCR, capillary/agarose gel electrophoresis, or magnetic bead‑based techniques. Demonstrated ability to design, troubleshoot, perform, and analyse experiments to generate high‑quality experimental data. In‑depth knowledge of Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) workflows, especially in cancer‑related sample preparation and NGS library preparation. A proactive approach to problem‑solving, with the ability to meet deadlines and deliver results that advance cancer diagnostics.
