In this crucial role, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of cost control for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems in complex data centre projects. Develop and maintain detailed cost estimates for MEP systems in data centre projectsAnalyse and report on cost variances, providing recommendations for cost optimisationCollaborate with project teams to ensure cost-effective design solutionsPrepare and manage tender documents, contracts, and procurement strategiesConduct value engineering exercises to identify cost-saving opportunitiesOversee change management processes and negotiate contract variationsProvide expert advice on MEP systems and their associated costs to clients and stakeholdersMonitor and forecast project cash flowsEnsure compliance with relevant industry standards and regulationsMentor and guide junior team members in MEP cost management practices QualificationsBachelor\'s degree in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, or a related fieldProfessional certification from a recognised body such as RICS or CIOBMinimum 7-10 years of experience in MEP cost management, with a focus on data centre projectsAdvanced knowledge of MEP systems and data centre infrastructureProficiency in cost estimation software (e.g., CostX, Causeway)Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detailExcellent communication and negotiation skillsProven project management expertiseIn-depth understanding of data centre design and construction principlesComprehensive knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to MEP systems and data centresDemonstrated experience in contract administration and procurementAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environmentStrong leadership skills with the capacity to mentor junior team members Additional InformationOur inspired people share our vision and mission.
