Onsite Network Engineer

Overview Capgemini is seeking an Onsite Network Engineer to join our Network Operations Centre (NOC). You will support a range of private and public sector clients, ensuring a stable, secure, and efficient network infrastructure across complex landscapes. Location & Working Arrangement This role requires at least 4 days on‑site work in Barrow‑in‑Furness. Pre‑employment checks will include identity, nationality, employment history, and a Disclosure and Barring Service check. Your Role As a Network Operations Analyst, you will perform both RUN and project activities, collaborating with other Network Analysts to troubleshoot, configure, and enhance enterprise networks. Troubleshoot and configure enterprise networks. Diagnose and resolve network incidents. Implement network changes. Assist project managers with project tasks. Continue professional development through training, certifications, and hands‑on experience. Skills & Experience Proven track record with enterprise networks and valid networking certifications. In‑depth experience of Cisco ACI software‑defined networks (multi‑site & multi‑pod). Experience with firewalls (Palo Alto, Checkpoint, Cisco Firepower, Cisco ASA & AnyConnect Remote Access). Experience with enterprise Wi‑Fi technologies including Cisco WLC or equivalents. Troubleshooting routing issues (BGP, OSPF & EIGRP). Deep understanding of networking protocols (e.g., IPSEC, HSRP, BGP, OSPF, EIGRP). Security Clearance SC clearance is mandatory. You must have resided continuously in the UK for the last 5 years and meet other criteria. Some posts are restricted to UK nationals.
