General Labourer – Farm Employer: Green Pack Produce Inc Location: 800 Lancaster Rd, Newcastle, ON L1B 0G6 Salary: $17.60/hour (40‑50 hours per week) Employment type: Seasonal, full‑time, flexible hours Start date: 2026‑05‑04 Vacancies: 14 Responsibilities Apply hoeing techniques between rows Cut agricultural crops Grade vegetables and fruits by size, shape, colour, and volume to secure high market prices Clean greenhouse and work areas Hand‑harvest vegetables and seedlings Harvest crops and pack fruits and vegetables Plant, cultivate, and irrigate crops Sort fruits and vegetables Tie and secure plants Weed and maintain plant health Clean work area after tasks Assist with general farm maintenance Qualifications Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required Experience: Will train – no prior farming experience necessary Work environment: Other vegetables and melon farming (except potato) Equipment: Hand tools only Transportation: Own transportation required Physical requirements: Ability to work independently, fast‑paced environment, repetitive tasks, work under pressure, handle heavy loads (up to 13.5 kg / 30 lbs), tight deadlines, physically demanding, manual dexterity, hand‑eye coordination, attention to detail, standing for extended periods, bending, crouching, kneeling, large workload, combination of sitting, standing, walking Personal suitability: Efficient interpersonal skills, flexibility, judgement, organization, reliability, team player, values and ethics Benefits Free parking available Who can apply for this job?
