Location: Milton Keynes, MK15 9PAWorking Hours: Monday - Friday between 6am – 6pm, Occasional Saturday work. To operate plant and machinery to assist with the sorting of waste within the waste transfer station (WTS) and any other duties required in the day to day running of the WTS as deemed necessary by a site supervisor/manager Main Responsibilities To carry out daily/weekly maintenance checks of the plant in their use To carry out the daily/weekly required maintenance tasks on the plant in their use To sort waste and carry out tasks relating to the WTS processes using their allocated plant/machinery To carry out any other duties relating to the WTS as requested by a supervisor/manager To accurately record their working hours on timesheets and submit on a weekly basis To ensure any training requirements are highlighted to line management especially for legislative minimum requirements Conduct themselves in such a way to not endanger themselves or those around them Conduct themselves in a professional manner at all times as an ambassador of Mick George Group Skills & Competencies Essential Relevant plant operator licences Excellent communication skills Ability to be methodical and flexible in approach to tasks A pro‑active team member Desirable Basic computer literacy (use of emails, etc.) The Mick George Group is committed to providing equality of opportunity for all.
