OverviewPlacement Project Engineer - Process Improvement role at apetito UK. The Undergraduate Placement Project Engineer - Process Improvement will work within the Process Improvement - Commercial team supporting the wider manufacturing team to deliver innovative solutions to the food manufacturing processes and improving financial performance.You will be working on a range of projects with a variety of people across different levels and departments, both within manufacturing & supply chain (MSC) and the wider business.ResponsibilitiesWork on projects across manufacturing and supply chain to improve processes and financial performance.Interact with and experience all parts of the business.Co-ordinate and actively participate in specific projects.Develop general business skills and relationships while working with individuals from diverse backgrounds.Engage with large data sets and complex manufacturing processes to inform improvements.Carry out data analysis, build data models to identify capacity constraints, and model upstream/downstream bottlenecks when installing new equipment.Design reports and KPIs to drive improvements and support Manufacturing and Supply Chain Digital Transformation projects.EssentialStudying towards an undergraduate degree in Engineering, with an expectation that you will receive a 22 or above.Passion for food and delivering the best quality product for customers.Keen to learn about the manufacturing and distribution of food.Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook).Confident working with large data sets and able to analyze patterns to support solution development.Comfortable being hands-on and working in production areas to understand challenges and find solutions.Ability to interact with staff at all levels to support projects and tasks.DesirableExperience of Project Management.Experience and interest in Microsoft VBA or other coding languages (e.g., Python, MATLAB).Excellent analysis, problem management, and interpersonal skills.Self-motivated, able to own and manage workload with minimal supervision.Structured approach to work and ability to work well in a team setting and communicate professionally at all levels.Company BenefitsCompetitive salaryAccredited Living Wage employer25 days holiday per year, plus bank holidaysOption to purchase up to 5 additional days holiday per yearDiscretionary annual bonus schemePension scheme with employer matched contributions up to 4%Life assurance worth at least 1x annual salarySubsidised canteenFree parkingFree turkey or voucher at ChristmasApetito perks scheme including salary sacrifice options and retail discounts #J-18808-Ljbffr
