BEMS experience is essential In this role, you will be responsible for carrying out project engineering and project management support on major projects. The tasks will vary between projects but will include the production of design documentation, on-site co-ordination and planning, on-site commissioning and project handover. You will offer technical support and knowledge to engineers and project managers, including sharing of best practices. You will be expected to work well as part of a commissioning team but also work efficiently on your own as required. You may be responsible for supervising junior engineers, ensuring they work effectively and safely whilst on site. You will be part of the projects team therefore, the sharing of technical knowledge with other engineers is encourage, whilst obtaining support from the team when necessary. Main Responsibilities Responsible for the overall management of smaller-scale projects and ensuring the projects are delivered in line with the program of works and intended design Responsible for making backups of software and strategy files as required for all associated systems/sites Ensure compliance with company H&S and CDM requirements, including production of relevant documentation. To liaise with sub-contract engineers and clients and report back with any design or engineering changes or issues Responsible for building and maintaining strong client relations Responsible for attending site-based commissioning/progress meetings as required. Responsible for carrying out field point to point checks, terminations, panel and wiring mods where required Create & manage a project program of works Responsible for commissioning various DDC control systems (TREND, Tridium or others as required), completing wiring and commissioning schedules, updating control panel drawings and the description of operation in the commissioning file Responsible for procurement of control items, sizing control valves etc. Ensure that all ‘AS COMMISSIONED’ information is collated and updated on the server Ensure witnessing packs are appropriately signed off Responsible for diligent demonstration and handover to client on projects Carry out site surveys as required and produce fully detailed reports complete with recommendations Attend training courses and meetings as required Ensure works are carried out within the project method statement and risk assessments and amend where necessary with any required deviation Enforce H & S interests of company on a day-to-day basis for all employees and sub-contractors, create and enforce method statements and risk assessments and update when necessary Adhere to all client and company ISO, Health & Safety procedures, and policies Provide technical support to team members Be able to produce, submit and amend technical submittals for ECS projects including but not limited to the following as required: Description of operations Equipment schedules Operating and Maintenance manuals Be able to produce IO wiring schedules to be sent to panel designer and then review design once received from panel shop Be able to produce RFI's and tech subs to be sent to the client Any other duties deemed necessary by the directors/managers of the business Specific Job Knowledge, Skills & Experience Ability to work well as part of a team but also work efficiently on your own Excellent attention to detail Excellent time management and organisational skills Self-motivated, responsible and accountable Good customer relations Commercial awareness (training to be provided as required) Good understanding of Safe Systems of Work and the importance of H&S in the workplace Technical Experienced with at least one of the following systems: Trend Tridium Schneider Siemens ALC Ability to correctly interpret and alter existing control strategy in BMS systems Knowledgeable with HVAC systems Electrically Competent Strong PC skills (Word and Excel) KPIs Complete Timesheets weekly Expenses in monthly Assist in the successful delivery of projects Knowledge sharing with commissioning engineers This role along with all company roles has a responsibility to ensure all visitors and operatives in the workplace adhere to the ECS Health and Safety policies and procedures.
