Your support structure will be made up of people that know and understand what it is like to do the role, meaning you will benefit from a clinically-led business.Advo is a healthcare organisation through and through, with clinicians working in our highest management positions and shaping our group ethos.With more than 10 years of experience delivering government assessment services and a commitment to professional development and training, Advo is an established provider and one of the best places to work as an assessor in the UK.About The RolePlay a crucial role in the functional and disability assessments process, a service that touches the lives of millions of people in the UK.You will work autonomously to assess the cases of people who are applying for the Personal Independence Payment (PIP) benefit or a Work Capability Assessment (WCA) as part of the DWPs Health Assessment and Advisory Services (HAAS). This will involve holding consultations and writing fair and accurate reports.You will only work to assess people for PIP or a WCA, not both. As part of your application process, we will advise you on which service you will work on and discuss what your training will involve.You do not need to have worked as a Functional Assessor previously. We can support you in your career change with our accredited training programme and dedicated support structure.Salary And BenefitsBetween £39,500 and £41,500 Per Annum (depending on location)Annual salary reviewsCost of your professional membership covered by usWork-life balance through hybrid/remote working patterns25 days annual leave (+ bank holidays)Company sick-pay (up to an annual cap)Flexible / part-time working & family friendly ethosDWP approved training and support programme providedDiscounts and other perksCharity time giftingExtra cash rewards and incentivesFree physio and other wellbeing supportYou can learn more about the benefits of working at Advo Health here.Key ResponsibilitiesHolding telephone, video or in-person consultations with people who are applying for the Personal Independence Payment (PIP) benefit or a Work Capability Assessment (WCA).Assessing a variety of complex conditions and impairments.Using your strong verbal communication skills and write high quality, fair and accurate assessment reports using a special IT system.Working with your line manager to advance your own professional development and career as a Functional Assessor.Essential Experience And QualificationsMinimum of 12 months post-registration experience working as an Nurse (RGN, RMN, RNLD), Paramedic, Physiotherapist, Pharmacist or Occupational Therapist.You must hold full registration with one of the following professional bodies:Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC)Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)General Pharmaceutical Council (GPC)Our goal is for Advo Health to be a workplace that creates a sense of belonging for everyone.
