Teaching Assistant – Primary (Full Time, temporary)
Location: Newark-on-Trent
Start Date: Immediately
Salary: £85–£110 per day

Education Personnel is working with a welcoming and community-focused primary school in the Newark area to recruit a Teaching Assistant. The school is looking for someone who enjoys working with children, brings a positive attitude to the classroom, and is keen to support pupils’ learning and wellbeing every day.

Teaching Assistants are seen as key members of the classroom team and work closely with teachers to help every pupil reach their potential. Whether supporting small groups, providing one-to-one assistance, or helping to prepare learning materials, your contribution will make a real difference to pupils’ progress and confidence.

Key Responsibilities:

Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and accessible lessons

*

Work with individual pupils and small groups to reinforce learning

*

Encourage positive behaviour and help maintain a calm, inclusive classroom

*

Assist with preparation of classroom resources and displays

*

Support pupils with additional needs where required

*

Contribute to school activities and help create a positive learning environment

Requirements:

*

Experience working with children in a school or similar setting (paid or voluntary)

*

A caring and patient approach to supporting young learners

*

Good communication and teamwork skills

*

Reliable, enthusiastic, and willing to learn from others

*

Understanding of safeguarding and a commitment to pupil wellbeing

(A relevant Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable but not essential.)
