What You’ll Do This is more than a standard Team Manager role; you will be a go-to leader within a team of other Team Managers, driving the Zoom site’s success alongside your peers You will be a resilient, hands‑on operator with a drive for action, who keeps a cool head when faced with competing demands, making the critical decisions that have the biggest operational impact As part of your responsibilities you will also: Take a tactile, hands‑on approach to coaching, developing, and inspiring a diverse team of warehouse and last‑mile delivery colleagues. You will be accountable for employee engagement, performance, and building a high‑energy, inclusive culture. Work as a key partner to the Operations Manager, ready to take full ownership of the site and act as the senior point of contact in their absence. Manage the end‑to‑end process, from goods‑in to the final mile. You will expertly prioritise competing tasks, analyse performance metrics, and implement strategies to boost productivity, quality, and efficiency. You will maintain impeccable standards of housekeeping, product quality, and food safety, even under pressure. Act as a key point of contact, communicating business results and initiatives to your team and collaborating effectively with internal functions like HR, Planning, and Risk Management. What You’ll Bring To The Team Essential Proven experience managing and leading teams in a last‑mile logistics, warehouse, or production environment where quick turnarounds are the norm. Exceptional resilience and composure as you can remain calm and decisive under pressure and can expertly prioritise competing demands to achieve the best outcome. A strong, hands‑on leadership style with a genuine passion for developing people through coaching and direct involvement. A solid understanding of Health & Safety best practices and a commitment to creating a safe workplace. Experience in performance management, including conducting disciplinary investigations. Strong communication skills, with the ability to manage upwards and work with senior management, not just direct reports.
