In this role, you will: Support the team with a range of kitchen porter duties, helping maintain a clean, safe, and efficient working environment. Assist with the delivery of patient meals, ensuring food is transported safely and on time. Work across two local outlets in Harrogate and provide delivery services to Ripon Hospital. Carry out deep cleaning of floors, wall surfaces, and catering equipment (e.g., fryers, ovens, bain-maries). Wash pots, pans, utensils, and crockery used by staff and patients. Ensure food waste is disposed of correctly and stored in the designated outside location. Assist with delivery of meals, collection of crockery, and movement of goods as required. Unload and unpack deliveries, ensuring correct storage and stock rotation. Follow Health & Safety and Food Hygiene regulations at all times. Support colleagues and work flexibly to meet the needs of the service. Undertake additional duties as requested by the Catering Manager or Supervisors. Person Specification KITCHEN EXPERIENCE Essential Level 2 Food Hygiene Qualification (training given if required) Good levels of customer service An awareness of hygiene including personal hygiene Drivers Licence Desirable Previous experience within catering.
