The opportunity As a Commercial Account Handler, you will prepare quotations, renewals, and endorsements; go to market and place new and existing business within the relevant regulations and company procedures; and administratively serve the insurance needs for potential and existing customers across a wide range of specialist commercial insurance products. Key duties will include Ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and professionalism when dealing with both clients and insurers. Managing existing commercial insurance policies, including combined, property, liability, fleet, and others. Completing premium financing arrangements. Working closely with a dedicated Commercial Account Executive. Advising clients on existing products in accordance with their needs. Handling bad‑debt queries efficiently and in line with company procedures. Ensuring full compliance with FCA regulation and company policies. Managing complaints in accordance with regulation and the Company’s Conduct Policy. Participating in learning, training, and assessment courses to support ongoing development. Maintaining a high level of customer service and promoting exceptional customer care standards. Developing and maintaining professional relationships with all clients and providing expert product advice and guidance. Qualifications Previous experience as an Account Handler in a similar broking environment. Working knowledge of commercial lines insurance products. Experience with high‑standard FCA compliance. Strong administrative skills and keen eye for detail. Ability to prioritise and organise workload to meet deadlines. Numerical accuracy. Exemplary communication skills in person, on the phone, and via email. Strong time‑management skills. IT proficiency with MS Office and ideally Acturis. Regulatory and compliance awareness.
