Job Summary This is an opportunity for an aspiring MSK Physiotherapist to join the integrated musculoskeletal service offering assessment and treatment to Patients within Mid Nottinghamshire. As part of the Community Health Services Division in Nottinghamshire Healthcare we provide musculoskeletal services working within the Mid Nottinghamshire Alliance MSK pathway, MSK Together. This consists of collaborative working with our primary care colleagues, first contact practitioners, triage team and secondary care colleagues. The MSK Physiotherapy service has strong links with local pain services, secondary care orthopaedics and the specialist spinal unit at Nottingham University Hospital Trust. We are looking for an individual who is an excellent team member, is self‑motivated and able to deliver evidence based MSK physiotherapy services in a friendly and supportive environment, working with wider MSK teams within the integrated service. Responsibilities Deliver high quality, patient focused physiotherapy interventions to all service users; collaborate with First Contact Practitioner Physiotherapists in Primary Care Networks. Assess and treat patients with a variety of acute & chronic musculoskeletal conditions via face‑to‑face, virtual, 1:1 and group settings, including ESCAPE pain and other group sessions. Assist clinical triage of patients with complex conditions and act as a specialist practitioner to empower and develop junior staff. Participate in in‑service training, supervision of students & junior staff, and contribute to CPD and evidence based practice across the team. Manage personal caseload, using specialist assessment, diagnosis, planning and management with a wide range of therapeutic techniques. Support service transformation and continuous improvement initiatives. Pay for DBS check; DBS application costs will be deducted from salary over the first 2 months. Enrol in DBS Update Service with an annual fee of £16. Qualifications HCPC registration. BSc/Diploma in Physiotherapy. Specialist knowledge of musculoskeletal physiotherapy underpinned by theory and postgraduate courses. Training Clinical Educator qualification. Post graduate MSK training. Experience Significant experience at Band 5 or equivalent level in treating patients with musculoskeletal pathology. Varied rotational experience. Desirable: Previous experience at Band 6 level or equivalent. Desirable: NHS experience, ability to undertake audit, supervisory experience. Knowledge Specialist knowledge of musculoskeletal physiotherapy underpinned by theory and postgraduate courses. Desirable: Evidence based practice, understanding of national and local priorities. Skills Effective team working. Planning, organising, delegating and prioritising own work. Time management and responding quickly to change. Self‑motivated and effective team member. Excellent communication, negotiation, motivation, empathy and tact. Flexibility, forward thinking. Ability to teach and pass on knowledge. Leadership skills.
