Prospero Teaching are currently seeking an excellent candidate for an SEN TA/Support role in an alternative provision based in Fulwood.
This is an SEN role, and the students may present with ADHD, Autism, emotional regulation difficulties, and some will come from traumatic backgrounds.
You must have an understanding around SEN, and be willing to engage with and support challenging students to break down barriers.
You will be working 1 to 1 with complex young people, and you must be comfortable with challenging behaviour.
These students are of secondary age, but they operate at a lower level than to be expected for their age.

Experience within a classroom is not mandatory, however you must have knowledge and awareness around SEN.
Patience is important, and some of these students may struggle with problem solving.
The ideal candidate will have a background involving young people with additional needs, and although experience in the classroom is not mandatory, you must have relevant experience.

Hours: 0830:1530
Rate of pay: £96 - £105
Type of work: Temporary
Full time/part time: Full time only
Start date: ASAP
Duration: Ongoing (Temp / Temp to Perm)
Experience, Training and Qualifications:

Up to date Safeguarding training in the last year (can be provided if needed)
Previous experience with Team Teach training, or willing to be trained in it
Previous experience working within outdoor education is desired
TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

Hold Right to Work in the UK
Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
Provide professional references covering 2 years
