Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Manager to lead our childcare facility. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in early childhood education and demonstrate exceptional leadership skills. As the Nursery Manager, you will be responsible for creating a nurturing and stimulating environment for children, ensuring their safety and well-being while fostering their development through engaging activities.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee the daily operations of the nursery, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements and best practices in early childhood education.
  • Manage and support a team of childcare professionals, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations to enhance their skills and effectiveness.
  • Develop and implement age-appropriate educational programmes that promote children's physical, emotional, and social development.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding their children's progress, behaviour, and any concerns that may arise.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for children, staff, and visitors.
  • Manage nursery budgets and resources efficiently to ensure optimal operation of the facility.
  • Foster positive relationships with children, encouraging their curiosity and creativity through play-based learning experiences.
Experience
  • Proven experience in a nursery or childcare setting is essential, with a strong understanding of early childhood education principles.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to interact with children, parents, and staff members professionally.
  • A genuine passion for working with children and an ability to inspire others in their development journey.
  • Experience in managing children's behaviour positively while promoting an inclusive atmosphere is highly desirable.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Must hold an approved qualification of level 3 or above.
  • A suitable level 2 qualification in maths or must do so within two years of starting in the position.
  • First Aid training.
  • Safeguarding training.
  • Should have at least two years' experience of working in an early years setting.
