Overview Arup’s Air Quality team operates as a national practice, sharing resources and projects across UK-based offices. We are looking for an experienced Air Quality Consultant to join our national team in the UK, based in one of our London, Edinburgh, Newcastle, Birmingham or Leeds offices. Responsibilities Deliver air quality projects as part of multidisciplinary teams or as standalone engagements. Provide high‑quality technical consultancy and advisory support to clients. Contribute to the delivery of projects on time and within budget. Prepare technical air quality assessments and reports. Support business development and preparation of effective technical proposals to win new work. Take on new challenges and drive continuous improvement within the practice. Qualifications Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant subject. Member of the Institute of Air Quality Management (IAQM) – working towards chartership (CEnv) is desirable. Demonstrable track record of delivering a wide range of air quality assessments. Competent in using air quality dispersion software (e.g., ADMS, AERMOD) and proficient in GIS tools. Knowledge and experience of air quality monitoring techniques, both automatic and passive. Full UK/EU driving licence. Interest in using digital tools such as Python, and ability to interpret and visualise data (OpenAir, PowerBI). Knowledge of odour and carbon assessments is desirable.
