Consultant Radiologist - General Cross‑sectional with Breast Radiology Subspecialist InterestThe role is for a General Radiologist with a Subspecialist interest in Breast Radiology to complement the department. The appointee will share provision for general on‑call service out of hours and work alongside our current Breast Imaging Radiologist.ResponsibilitiesJoin the general on‑call service out of hours and support the current Breast Imaging Radiologist.Utilise home reporting facilities with dedicated AGFA workstations and VR dictation for all reporting.Adopt a timetable of commitments reviewed regularly to meet the changing needs of the Trust, service and staff.Carry out programmed activities in breast imaging and general radiology and support development of the existing service where local needs and Trust plans are reflected.Contribute to the Cancer Two Week Wait service and participate in symptomatic breast one‑stop clinics and other relevant activity.Contribute to the national breast screening service by ensuring adequate film reading numbers, participate in screening assessment and other relevant activity.Work closely with breast clinicians, breast care nurses, breast pathologists and breast surgeons.Lead or take part in multi‑disciplinary team meetings.Support and participate in audit, research, teaching and administration.Undertake a routine/urgent share of the reporting of MRI, CT and plain films and perform fluoroscopic studies and ultrasound.Remote reporting where required.Job DetailsSeniority level: Mid‑Senior levelEmployment type: Full‑timeJob function: Consulting, Information Technology, and SalesFor further details or informal visits contact:Name: Suresh FernandoJob title: Radiology Clinical DirectorEmail: suresh.fernando@qehkl.nhs.ukTelephone: 01553 613613Ext: 4854 #J-18808-Ljbffr
