Fraud and Cyber Protect Co-OrdinatorWe are seeking an enthusiastic and creative person to develop and deliver our fraud and cyber protect strategy across West Midlands' communities and business sectors. The role will also include the management of the Economic Crime Victim Care Unit, (ECVCU), who alongside volunteers from Victim Support will support vulnerable victims of fraud and cyber related crime.Key ResponsibilitiesTo develop and deliver the Cyber and Fraud Protect StrategyTo co-ordinate West Midlands resources, including Cyber and Fraud PCSO SPOCs in the delivery of the strategyTo co-ordinate safeguarding to vulnerable victims of fraudTo identify and to deliver Protect messaging to a variety of audiencesDeveloping relationships with external and internal stakeholders and partners to develop and deliver the 3P strategiesTo be creative in our response to Protect messaging and reflect this within the Protect strategyTo work closely with our Fraud and Cyber Investigators to understand new trends and how protect messaging can be used to prevent further offencesTo develop a communication strategy to ensure messaging reaches the right audiencesResponsibility for a budget covering, travel, accommodation and equipmentResponsibility for procurement, maintenance and security of specialist departmental equipmentResponsibility for supporting the strategic and operational planning for force inspectionsManage a team of constables and police staff to deliver the aboveThe successful candidate will have and demonstrate the following attributesStrong communication skills, with the ability to present to a variety of audiences, including senior management level and external business / community groupsAbility to lead others and to engage them in alternative ways of thinkingAbility to build strong relationships with external and internal partners in order to develop and execute the protect strategyWe are looking for candidates withA good understanding and interest in cyber related crimeEvidence of interacting at supervisory level to influence decision makingEvidence of partnership working and ability to influenceAbility to identify threat and risk and how to respond to thisAbility to present to a variety of audiencesQualificationsEssential Skills/Qualifications:A good cyber related knowledgeAbility to present to a variety of audiencesAbility to assess, plan and deliver strategiesStrong presentation skillsA desire to continuously learn new skills and update knowledgeDesirable skills/qualifications:Qualification within cyber and/or a fraud or willingness to work towards.Awareness sessionWe will be hosting an awareness session on the 15 th December via teams.
