Learning Support Assistant - U EDUCATE
Location: Porchester
Salary Scale: £100-£120 per day
Start Date: ASAP

About the Role:

U EDUCATE is currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant to join one of our partner schools in Porchester for an immediate start. We're looking for someone who is passionate about creating a supportive, inclusive learning environment and can provide tailored assistance to students with additional needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Provide 1:1 support for a student with specific learning needs.
  2. Assist in the implementation of individualised education plans (IEPs).
  3. Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals to ensure the best outcomes.
  4. Build a supportive and positive relationship with the student to enhance their well-being and engagement.
  5. Monitor and report on progress, maintaining open communication with the wider team and parents/carers.
  6. Support the delivery of engaging activities tailored to the student's needs.
What We're Looking For:
  1. A genuine interest in supporting students with learning difficulties on a 1:1 or small group basis.
  2. Ability to adapt educational activities under the guidance of a teacher.
  3. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  4. A proactive and empathetic approach to student wellbeing.
  5. Experience working with young people with special educational needs is preferred but not essential.
  6. Eligibility to work in the UK.
Requirements:
  1. A current, child-enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one.
  2. An up-to-date CV with two relevant references from the past 2 years.
  3. Strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection policies and practices.
