This is a wonderful opportunity for an experienced Engineer to join a successful and well-established civil and structural design office in Ipswich. Working within a vibrant and friendly civil/structures team on bridges and ancillary civil structures projects including culverts, embankments, and retaining walls, you will assist in providing technical guidance, support, and training to colleagues and assist, where practicable, in mentoring and the development of others.

Our client has a newly refurbished office in Ipswich town centre. The office has been refurbished to a high standard and represents a large investment in this growing business. Responsibilities:
  1. Have gained a Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
  2. Be keen to get involved in detailed design of rail/bridge structures as well as the associated civils
  3. Be comfortable generating calculations, drawings, sketches, reports, etc. to achieve the optimum solution for the project
  4. Have experience assessing, documenting, and communicating design changes to the Project Manager
  5. Be Chartered or working towards (ICE or IStructE)
  6. Familiarity with the latest structural design software
  7. A driving licence would be beneficial for site visits
