Sale, United Kingdom Acuity Care Group Full time

Support Worker Pay rate: Days - £13.50Shift Pattern: 8:00-20:00 A face‑to‑face interview day for this role will take place on Tuesday the 18th of November 2025. Attendance is mandatory as it forms a key part of the interview and selection process if successful at pre‑screen. We're looking for a support worker to work alongside an individual in Sale, enabling them to live their life with dignity and purpose. This person is passionate about gardening, singing, and music, and loves spending time in sensory rooms. They deserve support tailored to their unique needs and preferences. As someone who has learning disabilities, autism, and is registered blind, they may need support to communicate effectively and navigate their surroundings, and at times may display behaviors that can be challenging. We are not looking for someone to “manage” these aspects, but someone who can understand and support them in a respectful and empowering way. To be a great fit for this role, you’ll need to be familiar with the Sale area, be able to drive, hold a full UK driving licence, and have previous experience supporting people with learning disabilities, autism, blindness, and challenging behaviors. What will your shift involve? You will provide high‑quality care on a 2:1 basis, ensuring compassionate, attentive support tailored to the individual's needs. Responsibilities include engaging in meaningful activities, taking them out in the community to promote social interaction and well‑being, supporting household tasks to maintain a clean and organised living environment that fosters comfort and independence, and communicating in their preferred manner to build a strong, trusting relationship. About Acuity Care Group We have been around for nearly 20 years, with over 900 people working across operations and supporting roles. Acuity Care Group is a supported‑living healthcare provider, comprising three specialist business divisions: LD&A – Learning Disabilities & Autism; Bespoke Team – Brain Injury. This role sits within our LD&A family, and you will be supported by an experienced hands‑on team leader. We support adults and children with complex care needs and a range of physical and mental disabilities. Our teams are passionate about working in close partnership to provide outstanding, tailored care that promotes empowerment and helps clients access new experiences.
