NHS CLINICAL SCIENTIST BAND 8A (Non-Ionising Radiation) - BELFAST, UK Position: NHS CLINICAL SCIENTIST BAND 8A - Non-Ionising Radiation Institution: Northern Ireland Regional Medical Physics Service, Belfast Health and Social Care Trust Location: Belfast, Northern Ireland I’d like to bring your attention to the following Band 8A Clinical Scientist post within the Northern Ireland Regional Medical Physics Service (Belfast Health and Social Care Trust): NORTHERN IRELAND REGIONAL MEDICAL PHYSICS SERVICE CLINICAL SCIENTIST(Non-Ionising Radiation Group) BAND 8A PERMANENT The Radiological Imaging and Protection Service of the Northern Ireland Regional Medical Physics Service is seeking to appoint a Clinical Scientist to professionally lead the provision of expert scientific and technical advice and support for non-ionising radiation protection across the Health and Social Care sector in Northern Ireland. The successful applicant will act as the appointed Laser Protection Adviser for Health & Social Care Trusts (HSCTs) and other bodies, and provide a Laser Protection Advisory service to these organisations. They will be encouraged to initiate service developments and undertake research in these fields. Candidates should be a HCPC registered Clinical Scientist and a certified Laser Protection Adviser, or be in a position to achieve both within 12 months of appointment. The post is based at Forster Green Hospital in Belfast and will involve service provision and travel across Northern Ireland.
