As a Principal AI Researcher, you will lead groundbreaking research that connects the latest advancements in generative AI, multimodal learning, and visual intelligence with Nexar’s large-scale data ecosystem. You’ll be at the forefront of innovation — defining research directions, mentoring others, and shaping the next generation of AI products that make roads and cities safer and smarter. RESPONSIBILITIES Research Leadership: Define and drive Nexar’s research agenda in areas such as large multimodal models, open-world perception, and self-supervised learning. Technical Excellence: Design and prototype novel architectures in computer vision and generative AI, and guide the transition of research into production-ready solutions. Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional teams (engineering, product, data) to align research goals with real-world applications. Mentorship: Provide technical guidance and mentorship to researchers and engineers across the AI team. Strategic Impact: Represent Nexar’s AI research externally — contributing to publications, conferences, and industry collaborations. Innovation with Purpose: Harness Nexar’s vast datasets to develop AI systems that drive measurable improvements in road safety and mobility intelligence.
