Overview Calling all compassionate and dedicated individuals Mencap is seeking passionate Female Support Workers to join our incredible team in St Neots. As a Female Support Worker, you'll have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of individuals with learning disabilities. You will be working with a diverse group of people, each with their own unique abilities and needs. From assisting with daily activities to providing emotional support, you’ll play a vital role in their life. This role requires you to be a driver. Role details We are looking for a Female Support Worker to join our Domiciliary Care Service based in St Neots on a permanent, part time basis 25 hours a week. As you are likely to support more than one person on any one day and travel a short distance from each venue, a driver with access to a vehicle you can use for work is essential. Shifts will be spread across mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and bank holidays. Currently shifts start as early as 07:00 and evening shifts finish by 18:00. Flexibility is a must as you will need to be available to work across various shifts and venues. This role will not involve any overnight working. We do require alternate weekend working. About our Service Our Team support adults with learning disabilities to access the community, maintain their homes, and just live a normal and active life. Support we provided is varied and may involve support with medication and health matters, meal planning and preparation, budgeting and banking, or support with social activities, trips out to cafes, cinema, getting some fresh air and exercise. The person you support may have their own goals/ambitions and just need a little help to achieve these. What we\'re looking for A genuine passion for supporting others. Excellent communication skills and the ability to build meaningful relationships. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. A positive and empathetic attitude towards individuals with learning disabilities. This role requires you to be a driver.
