Teacher of English

Start Date: April or September 2026 Full Time ECT/MPR/UPR. Our English Department is looking for an enthusiastic, highly motivated English Teacher with a love for their subject to join a great team. We have twelve specialist teachers who use a range of traditional and progressive teaching methodologies, contributing to the academic and pastoral life of the school. Our department consistently achieves good outcomes and is well‑resourced, located at the heart of the main school building. We work closely with county and national projects to develop curriculum‑wide literacy and oracy skills. We have reading programmes such as “Thinking Reading” and a whole‑school tutor reading programme, run GCSE trips like “Poetry Live”, Shakespeare workshops for KS3 pupils, and a new Public Speaking Club to help students develop confidence, articulation and persuasive communication.
