About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager / Project Director to lead the delivery of major high-rise construction projects in Birmingham, from early planning through to final handover. This is a senior position suitable for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, has a strong track record delivering complex multi-storey developments, and can drive excellence across all stages of the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
*
Lead all phases of high-rise construction projects, from pre-construction and procurement to delivery, commissioning, and completion.
*
Manage project teams, contractors, and consultants to ensure alignment with programme, quality, safety, and budget targets.
*
Oversee project planning, scheduling, budgeting, risk management, and progress reporting.
*
Maintain strong communication with stakeholders, including clients, local authorities, designers, and supply chain partners.
*
Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, industry standards, and best practice.
*
Solve complex site and design challenges to maintain project momentum.
*
Foster a high-performance, collaborative, and safety-driven culture.
Requirements
*
Proven experience overseeing high-rise or large-scale residential/commercial projects from start to finish.
*
Strong leadership skills with the ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams.
*
Excellent commercial awareness and contract management capabilities (e.g., JCT, NEC).
*
Outstanding communication and stakeholder-management skills.
*
Ability to work under pressure and drive successful outcomes on tight programmes.
*
Relevant qualifications in construction, engineering, or project management (preferred but not essential if experience is strong).
