Bury Legal Services plays a vital role in delivering high‑quality legal services to several client departments, and we are looking for a Senior Lawyer to join our team. Responsibilities As a Senior Lawyer you will lead and manage a variety of complex matters, advising on prosecution and regulatory matters across the Council. You will provide significant input to the development and implementation of our legal compliance policies and procedures, handle criminal litigation and regulatory queries—including proceedings—while prioritising a full personal caseload of legal matters. You will also supervise junior team members and promote a collaborative working style. Qualifications A strong track record of success in a senior legal role. Extensive knowledge of prosecutions and licensing law and procedures. Strong people‑management skills.
