This position focuses on planning and managing database capacity, patching, backups and disaster recovery, governance, and maintaining detailed technical documentation within the database management team.ResponsibilitiesPlan and manage capacity of database management systemsSchedule Database patching for production and lower environmentsPlan and strategize backup and DR processesProvide audit and governance requirementsMaintaining detailed technical documentationAssist efforts to define database strategy, architecture, standards and procedures to preserve the integrity and security of company data resourcesTroubleshoot database problems and implement corrective measures as requiredJoin our Database team as a Sr. DBA and design, implement, and maintain the systems that are instrumental to business functionDevelop your skills and expand your abilities by working with new systems and softwareEssential SkillsMust have knowledge of IT concepts such as DB design, DB layout, DB structures, DB stored procedures, DB tables, DB optimization, TCP/IP, IT security concepts and practicesMust be an expert in SQL Server along with a good understanding of Oracle and knowledge of Informix, DB2, MongoDB, DynamoDB and any other databasesMust be a self-starter with a great attitude, not afraid to take the initiative, and work with little supervisionAbility to analyze and write business and technical specifications and interact with IT and auditor teamsA degree in information technology/computer information systems or related6+ years of work experience in database support and managementClear understanding of IT Operations, Software Development and Release Management using GitHubAbility to work under pressure in a fast-paced environmentStrong attention to detail with an analytical mind and outstanding problem-solving skillsGitHub, ServiceNow, Jira, MS Office, SQL, etc.Seniorities / EmploymentSeniority level: Mid-Senior levelEmployment type: ContractJob function: Information TechnologyIndustries: Data Infrastructure and AnalyticsReferrals may increase your chances of interviewing, but this posting is the primary description for the role. #J-18808-Ljbffr
